Sometime
in the early Sixties, long before there was any thought of
Op-Sails, the German Navy training ship Gorch Fock sailed into
New York Harbor. This was the first time a square rigged ship
had been in these waters in many years.

As I replaced
the photo door in the Piper Tri-Pacer in which I was
flying The bottom section of the door flew out of the plane
as we were flying over Wall Street. I managed to hold onto
it with the very ends of my fingertips to prevent a disaster. |
